The information on our site is grounded in Bronfenbrenner's Systems Theory. (1979). This theory helps us understand that the mesosystems surrounding a child are critical to their success in navigating the world. When links between the mesosystems; teacher, family, and peers are strong, the development of the child is supported at a high level. The interwoven relationships of the mesosystem have the capacity to foster healthy and smooth transitions to new settings and classroom communities. This site is meant to provide tools and information to strengthen the links between mesosystems; resulting in positive outcomes for children and their families (Bronfenbrenner, 1979).
